Information About Chris - Battersea teacher
I am a renowned guitarist in London with experience as a session guitarist and teacher in South/Central London. I was an Air Force pilot, before relocating to London and studying at the prestigious Guitar Institute .
I have almost 10 years experience teaching guitar of all levels, specialized in contemporary styles such as Rock, metal, funk and blues. Extensive experience teaching children as young as 5, both privately and in primary schools.
I recently founded a school of Rock in Battersea named Kidz'n'rock, in which besides instrument tuition I organise band sessions, live gigs and do film productions.
The school caters for young children 6+, teenagers and adults.
As a guitar teacher I am able to inspire young children to appreciate the fun side of playing the instrument, while developing the correct postures and technique that will enable them to progress with it.
With intermediate guitarist I am able to unlock and re program all those bad habits created by lack of direction and casual practice.
For Advanced players I can offer, great technical insight into advanced modern techniques such as 8 finger tapping, sweep and alternate picking, Legato and hybrid picking. Also keen on teaching theory, composition and arranging.
With my School of rock, I am able to expand on the learning experience of playing an instrument, and give pupils a real motivation with plenty of short and long term objectives to aim at. Wether it's a grading exams or a live gig, I know how to plan out routines and practice sessions.
