Personal Description:
I am a passionate flute player and have over 15 years teaching experience. Im a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and regularly perform with UK professional orchestras including the English Chamber Orchestra, English National Opera and for recording sessions including Pop, Film and TV.
Tutoring Experience:
I am currently the flute teacher at Rowan Preparatory school and have previously taught at Queens Gate School and Sutton High School.
I have also taught a wide range of private students from 5 years old to adults wanting to learn new skills later in life. I have taught music scholars and students of post grade 8 standard but Im equally happy teaching beginners.
I have also been a flute coach for London Symphony Orchestra discovery programme, Glyndebourne Youth Opera, Music Makers and the Dartington Wind Chamber Music course.
Tutoring Approach:
I love to make lessons fun and to ensure they are student led. Im happy to prepare students for music exams but Im also happy to explore wider repertoire and learn through duets.
