Personal Description:
I studied at the RAM for 4 years and obtained LTCL teacher's diploma & ARCM performers diploma.
Tutoring Experience:
I taught full time as Head of Woodwind & Chamber music at Marlborough College for 25 years, then at St John's school, Marlborough, as part time clarinet teacher. I am now semi-retired and teach a small group of talented and keen amateurs. Where suitable I frequently get a clarinet quartet together of my pupils.
Tutoring Approach:
I am happy to teach beginners or advanced pupils and my years of teaching experience have taught me to be thorough, patient and encouraging with my pupils. I write a lot of my own exercises and play-along tracks which I supply free to my pupils via email.
I am now back to face-to-face teaching and look forward to welcoming new pupils.
