Personal Description:

My name is Bridget. I am 28 years old.

I have always been very musical, playing the cornet and trumpet to grade 8 level. I enjoy performing and play cornet in Dinnington Brass Band and trumpet in a local Jazz band. I am passionate about making music and want to share this passion with others.

I teach cornet and trumpet from beginner level and put my students through their ABRSM grades. I use different techniques to suit the individual. I also help with reading and understanding music.

I am a mobile tutor so will come to your home to provide the sessions. I have one to one teaching experience, having taught Chinese to children. I have an up to date CRB check.

I am a member of the Musician's Union.

Other interests include: cycling in the Peak District, walking energetic dogs, snowboarding in the French Alps, playing the mandolin in folk sessions.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently working with a student to aim towards getting her grade 1 trumpet. I am a friendly individual and make lessons fun and engaging. I have a background in teaching languages so understand the dedication and effort it takes to learn something new.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that everyone learns in a different way so I approach teaching at a case by case level. Lessons are mixed with playing and theory, with a chance to perform duets. I want to inspire others into the world of music!
