Personal Description:

I believe positivity is the key to success, I endeavour to create a positive learning environment where students are challenged to gain a greater love for the given subject and have fun while doing so.

I study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool, currently working in a year in industry at Jaguar Land Rover. I have a passion for giving back to those I can and love to be of use and help. From a young age I have always had a love for hands on problem solving and after research and multiple communications with various different professionals. I settled on Mechanical Engineering and have had no regrets.

I am an avid sports fan representing my university's 1st team in the Men's Basketball team. In addition, I am a keen classical musician playing both the french horn and piano. A member of my universities Stage and Screen Orchestra.

I have had a lot of previous experience tutoring music and curriculum subjects in my past. My mother is a teacher and runs a school enabling me to spend many hours learning the art of teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had multiple students through the years teaching, french horn and musical theory. The ages span from 6 to middle aged ran a local orchestra for 2 years before I went off to university where I have not playing and teaching. Currently I tutor a number of young students musical theory.

Tutoring Approach:

For musical Theory I believe the best approach is learning about the students musical interests and using that as the catalyst to make the understanding of the concepts much more easier to grasp. Music is all around us and I endevour to increase the curiosity of the learners, to understand more of the music they hear.

For practical instruments it is essential to understand the student and tailor an approach that best suits their needs and learning pace. I believe in establishing mutual respect in order to get the best productivity in the lessons. Furthermore, with patient encouragement ensuring they keep improving to the best of their ability.
