Tutoring Experience:

As well as being a performer, I also enjoy being a tutor, which I think it’s a way to improve myself as well as the student. It’s a pleasure to share music with students. I have been giving both group and individual tuition which stretch from beginner to advanced players for 2 years.

Tutoring Approach:

Everyone is different therefore my method of teaching would be would be tailored to each of my students. I aim to encourage the development on techniques on the violin and more importantly, interpreting music in the right direction. Throughout my lessons, I would teach not only the technical side on the violin, I also will teach how to play in an easy way which the way how the students hold the bow, the way they hold the violin and stand which can allow them to achieve the most from the start and avoid injuries. As the level of the student gets better, I would start working on the quality of sound from an elementary basis. With my teachings, I often offer a direction to what I want the students to achieve rather than s-feeding. In this way the students would have to engage their brain to explore the solutions hence improving the creativity and problem solving sides of the brain.
Playing the violin is an amazing thing to do and I am more than happy to share this passion with my students
