Personal Description:

Anthony is currently studying for his Master of Arts Degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, majoring in violin with Jack Liebeck on a scholarship. He has completed his Bachelor of Music Degree at Royal Academy of Music with a First class honours. Prior to this, he studied with Alex Laing at Uppingham School.
He has performed as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. As a concerto soloist, he performed the 1st movement of Lalo’s ‘‘Symphonie Espagnole’’ with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for a Charity concert in march 2017. In June 2019 Anthony was invited as a soloist to perform Brahms Violin Concerto with the Stamford Chamber Orchestra. At the beginning of the year he was awarded 2nd prize in the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Competition and qualified to the Strings Semi-final in the Royal Overseas League Competition.
Anthony has been awarded Honorable Mention of Musicus Society 2021 Young Artist Audition and he will be performing series of concerts in Hong Kong with the Musicus Society.
During his time at the academy, he appeared frequently with the Academy Symphony Orchestra as Concertmaster in the orchestra and has appeared regularly in the 2019-21 season with the LSO as part of the LSO String Experience Scheme. From 2021 onwards, he will be performing regularly with the Manchester Camerata, English Touring Opera, Sinfonia Cymru and Orpheus Sinfonia.
He has received scholarships to help with his studies including Help Musicians UK (2019-2021) and Jardine Matheson Scholarship (ABRSM).

Tutoring Experience:

As a teacher, Anthony has extensive experience of 6 years, teaching people from beginners to advanced level (post grade 8 level). I will have a very unique way of teaching students depending on their personalities, work ethic and ability. My aspiration as teacher rooted from great mentoring when I was young and it is my goal to make the lessons as enjoyable as possible and receiving great results.
