Information About Annie - Coleraine teacher

Personal Description:

My studio is conveniently situated central to many towns in the North Coast area of N.Ireland. Ballymoney is my nearest town but Coleraine, Bushmills, portrush, and Portstewart are all closeby.
I have been singing since the age of 6, taking part in Musical festivals and my first Opera appearance was at the age of 11. Singing is something I have never been without and cannot imagine a time of not singing. A lot of my life was spent as a soloist for weddings, concerts and shows.
Piano is my second instrument and in the later years has become of equal importance.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 25 years, alongside performing. I currently teach Piano and Singing at Loreto College Coleraine and run a busy practice from home. Many of my pupils have gone on to be performers and some of them music teachers of which I am very proud.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to think Music should be enjoyable and fun as you begin to learn and mature. As you go through the learning process, it becomes a bit more serious but no less enjoyable. For those who are doing grades, I teach Music Theory alongside their practical lesson. Music Theory is essential to understanding your subject.
I expect pupils to do their preparation at home between each lesson and those who do, are well on their way to success.
Lessons are tailored to the pupils needs. I aim to encourage and enthuse my pupils.
