Information About Anne - Fordingbridge teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Anne:
I began playing piano at the age of 6 and have had an interest in music since then, leading me to singing in choirs from the age of 8 and go on to study music at university level. After training to be a primary school teacher with a music specialism I spent six years teaching curriculum music in primary school (after two years of class teaching) alongside teaching piano privately. I chose not to return to the classroom after having my daughter but continued with my piano teaching until I had my second child and the pandemic hit. I am now returning to piano teaching after having my third child.
I began teaching piano ten years ago alongside teaching curriculum music from Nursery to Year 6 in primary schools. I have taught piano to children of all ages as well as to adults, most starting with me as beginners but some have had lessons previously. The majority of my pupils have chosen to take exams but I have also taught some who have learnt for pleasure.
I tailor every lesson to the individuals needs of the pupil and will enter pupils in for exams or teach for pleasure as preferred. I aim to develop a pupil as a rounded musician, including aural and theory skills where appropriate as they learn the practical skills of their instruments. Creativity and composition are also something I try to incorporate into some lessons as I feel this helps pupils to develop a deeper understanding of how music works, therefore helping them learn their chosen pieces, as well as being a lot of fun.
