Personal Description:

I am a freelance performer and teacher based in North West London. I have an undergraduate performance degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, and a masters degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As an experienced soloist, orchestral player and chamber musician, I have a lot to pass on and I teach predominantly, though not exclusively, from my home; feel free to get in contact regarding details.

In addition to music and my 'cello, I love learning Russian and Czech, travelling the world, and my cats… !

Tutoring Experience:

I have a lot of teaching experience in different areas: I hold an ATCL teaching diploma, I have experience in Suzuki, Kodaly, Dalcroze, and Colourstrings methods and I have been teaching privately since 2012. I have taught in schools in the London Borough of Brent and I was awarded the Leverhulme Music Mentorship Award in 2017/2018 while finishing my Bachelors degree at the RNCM. I taught at the North London Conservatoire in Hendon for 2.5 years and I teach privately.

Tutoring Approach:

With such a wide experience of different methods of teaching and learning, I have a very well-rounded approach to teaching the 'cello and I draw from my experience of all methods over and above adhering to one single method. I feel that most importantly, whether teaching children or adults, beginners or those who already have experience, the most important thing for me is to instil a real understanding and love for music that will enhance my students’ life whether they become professional musicians, amateur players or music appreciators.
