My name is Angeline, I’m from London and I’ve been a private tutor and teacher for five years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of playing in a professional orchestra and string quartet, and taking part in community projects that bring music to people in care homes. Because of my love for the violin, I spend a lot of my own time practising and listening to music.
I began teaching violin and theory, both privately and in music schools, while studying at Leeds College of Music. After graduating, I have continued to enjoy tutoring students in the instrument I love. Aside from music, I have a year of experience teaching students at a leading high school in Bangkok, and I now teach supplementary Maths and English classes at an after school centre in Islington.
The experience I have gained over five years has refined my approach to teaching music. I cater all of my lessons to each specific student, working with them to set goals allowing them to see their progression. Whether you are aiming for a Grade or a more casual approach to learning violin and theory, I have seen pupils through plenty of exams and self-progression. I have found this highly personalised approach extremely effective in learning an instrument and it is a joy to see my students develop as musicians over my time with them.
