I am 27 years of age. I am a graduate of the University of Aberdeen where i gained a BMus (Hons) in Performance and Composition. Since then I have completed my DipLCM in Classical Saxophone teaching.
Music has always been a big part of my life from a young age. I started learning cello from the age of 8, followed by Saxophone at 11 and bass and Piano at a later stage.
I have been teaching since 2012 in cello and Saxophone. I have taught complete beginners up to Grade 8 in both Cello and Saxophone. I teach using the ABRSM and Trinity syllabus. I teach from my home address in Aberdeen but I am also willing to travel to the pupils home if required
My approach to Music tuition varys from pupil to Pupil. I will not force them down the formal exam route as that is not everyones cup of tea. I work around their specific goals and interests, whether it's just for fun or they want to pursue a music career, I can help. Music is a huge passion of mine and my previous instructors have all encouraged me to listen to as much music as you can so you can get inspired, whether that is downloading music, buying a CD or going to a concert, it all inspires us to become better players. I echo this advise to all my pupils.
