Information About Andrew - Harwich teacher - (1 review)
This is how 3 referees rated Andrew:
I have years of live playing and recording experience and now play guitar professionally for a career. I have mastered multiple musical styles, techniques and have developed my own specific playing and teaching style. Along side this I also have Grade 8 electric guitar, Grade 5 music theory, A Level music and am a member of the RGT Guitar Tutors!
Lessons are provided on a one-to-one basis, either at my home studio in Chelmondiston (Ipswich) or at students homes if they prefer for an extra travel cost (usually £2 for Ipswich area, but can be more for lessons outside of Ipswich)
I teach all ages, abilities and have experience in a wide variety of styles. I give students the chance to widen their playing abilities, take RGT guitar grades and help them think more like a “Musician” rather than just a guitarist.
“Andy is a hugely talented guitar player – very versatile in musical styles, can play just about anything virtually immediately and when demonstrating gets it right first time. He has good music theory knowledge, is good at explaining things, and is patient with those less talented than him!” (Rick Kirkup)
“I have been going to Andy for a few weeks now, and he has made a great difference to my attempts to learn the guitar. He is dealing with a pupil 50 years his senior, but he shows great understanding of my needs. He regularly alters how I play music to accommodate a hand injury sustained many years ago, and this has given me the desire to carry on and learn when otherwise I would struggle. Andy's studio is the perfect environment in which to learn. I would recommend him to anybody of any age who wishes to learn guitar.” (Peter Cracknell)
I like to keep lessons fun and laid back and aim to make sure each student gains something from each lesson.
I am heavily influenced by blues and rock guitarist such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, but am also open to any other styles and have an advanced understanding of other styles such as funk, reggae, jazz e.t.c.
So if you like what you hear. If you can vision yourself mastering the songs and styles you have always wanted to. Then book a lessons today!!!
