He has over 30 years of experience teaching at all levels and teaches the craft of instrumental teaching at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
He has given masterclasses, workshops and examined at Royal College of Music, Welsh College of Music & Drama, Leeds College of Music, Chetham’s School of Music, Aldeburgh Young Musicians and various British Saxophone Congresses.
He has music published by Boosey & Hawkes and Saxtet Publications.

Tutoring Approach:

Lessons are always friendly and interesting and my teaching is always pupil centred. The initial lesson is about finding out what the student wants to get out of the lessons, what their motivation is like and how they practice. How a pupil practices is the most important factor in any student making good progress and I have developed a huge range of techniques, concepts and tricks that I can pass on to help them get the most out of their practice sessions.
I have coached students to successful entry into most of the UK's music colleges.
