Personal Description:
Hey, I am a multi-instrumentalist and have been working as a professional musician since 2011, teaching in schools and gigging in a wedding band amongst other things. One of my career highlights was playing guitar in the Sony Walkman advert.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 6 years’ experience teaching piano and guitar in schools and teaching in students homes. Helping students pass their graded exams and prepare for GCSE solo and ensemble performances. I have taught all ages, children and adults alike.
For piano, I teach mainly classical, but also contemporary styles too. For guitar I teach mainly pop, rock, funk and reggae.
I have also given guest lectures at a music university, on tinnitus and the importance of protecting your hearing.
Tutoring Approach:
Music should be fun. Although training for graded examinations can be important, I feel that the students enjoyment of the instrument and music in general is paramount. Therefore lessons are crafted individually for each student.
