Andrew is a freelance electric and double bassist situated in London. With nearly a decade of experience, Andrew has played some of the UK’s top venues including Ronnie Scotts, BBC Maida Vale Studios, The Barbican Concert Hall and Leicester Curve, the biggest theatre outside of London.
Andrew is currently the principal double bassist with the BBC Elstree Concert Band and holds the bass chair for NYJO Academy Big Band. Andrew has recently worked on a production of Sweet Charity with West End conductor Tom Deering. As a freelancer Andrew has worked with songwriters who have shared the stage with Ben Howard and showcased for Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
Andrew has actively been involved in musical workshops at several local schools. As well as being experienced working independently with children.
Andrew tailors each lesson to the pupil's individual goals and ability. Andrew teaches from his home in Greenwich but also commutes with an additional travel free.
Andrew makes sure each student has their own individual approach to learning which will match their ability and expectations.
Andrew gives each student things to work on between lessons so that progression is natural.
