Hi, I'm Andy , a professional bass guitarist and tutor based in Leeds. I am a Leeds College of Music graduate with a 1st Class hons degree in Music. Most recent performances include Royal Festival Hall with Marc Almond (Soft Cell) and supporting Gabrielle Aplin at Leeds O2 academy. Other notable performances include Media event at Lambeth Palace for the Arch Bishop of Canterbury and the National Music for Youth Festival in Birmingham 2015.
I have 3 years of one to one tuition experience for both Jazz and Pop music. I have lots of experience teaching young adults and senior adults.
I was employed by Leeds College of Music to do a music workshop project earlier in this year. I also have experience in leading ensemble groups which includes big bands and orchestras.
I teach beginner to advanced bass guitar for any style/genre. £25 for hour lesson, £15 for half hour. I also teach beginner Jazz/pop double bass.
My approach to music tuition is to understand the students direction and give them the options that would best suit them and where they would like to take their playing. I aim to create fun but disciplined lessons where the student is given lots of material to progress quickly.
