Personal Description:

I am 22 years old and a music graduate. I have been playing musical instruments since the age of six, and have grown up being taught and eventually self-teaching myself musical instruments, including guitar and bass guitar. Although I have achieved my Grades (Grade 8) on Keyboard, I have recently developed more of a passion for guitar and bass, although I have experience in teaching in all of these instruments.
I was in a band (Rangoon Sons, based in Liverpool) for around six years, so have a lot of experience at playing live and being in a band for someone who is relatively young and can offer advice and help in these fields.Music is more than a hobby to me and I hope to make a career out of it, and honestly find nothing more satisfying than that moment when you see the hours of practice and lessons finally click.

Tutoring Experience:

I worked for a company called Clive's Easylearn Pop & Rock Schools around the age of sixteen for a few months, the start of my teaching experience. I taught guitar, bass and keyboard and was a key figure for the company as I was versatile and could even teach drums at a casual level.
I have also done some private tutoring over the last couple of years and can provide references if needed.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a believer in 'kinetic learning'; learning by moving/doing the activity. This means that my emphasis on music tuition is based around allowing more time for the tutee to play, instead of watching the tutor repeatedly. I also like to explain some very basic music theory (I can go into more detail if requested) so the tutee actually understands what it is they are playing. However if you do not want to know any theory whatsoever then that is also completely fine and we can work around it.
I am patient and flexible with my teaching, and will always find a method that is right for the tutee.
