Personal Description:
I have worked in education since leaving University in 2007, where I gained a BA (hons) in English and History. I work in education support, currently within data and exams - dealing with student progress and assisting with the running of all exams, internal and external. I therefore have much experience of education and what is expected of students and current policies.
Tutoring Experience:
I have previously taught complete beginners on the clarinet and more experienced players. I have taught large classes and on a one-to-one basis. I very much go by the student and how they learn and at their own pace. I have taught in schools, privately in a student's home and from my own home.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe music is essential to education and learning a musical instrument compliments so many ofther subjects and disciplines. I work completely at the student's own pace and will work with the student to ascertain what they wish to achieve, whether the motivation be academic or purely for pleasure. I am passionate about what I do and hope to instill this passion in my students and inspire them to love music as I do.
