Personal Description:

I am currently studying a masters course at the Royal Northern College of Music with Rob Buckland and Andy Scott. Prior to this I studied at Cambridge University where I was principal saxophonist with the Cambridge University Chamber, Symphony and Jazz Orchestras as well as the Cambirdge University Big Band and Swing Band. On clarinet I was principal clarinet with CUMS 1 (the university flagship orchestra) and The Beethoven Ensemble and also performed with the Cambridge University Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and Opera Society.

I have vast performance experience having played under conductors such as Sir Roger Norrington, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Baldur Bronnimann, Stephen Cleobury, Peter Stark, David Hill etc and at venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Symphony Hall, King's College Chapel etc. In a jazz setting I have performed at Montreux and London Jazz Festivals, Budapest Jazz Club, Casa Del Jazz (Rome) etc. and with musicians including Steve Waterman, Mark Nightingale, Mike Gibbs, Gareth Lockrane, Issie Barratt etc.

As a soloist I have given solo recitals on saxophone and clarinet at venues including Trinity College Chapel, St Catharine's College Chapel, Selywn College Hall and the Bateman Auditorium. I can also be heard on a number of commercially available CD/DVD's.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching private pupils from age 6 to 80+ in jazz and classical styles on saxophone, clarinet, piano and flute. I have also taught clarinet, saxophone, flute and piano at schools including Thorpe House School (Gerrards Cross), Crown House Music Academy (High Wycombe), and Queen Edith Community Primary School (Cambridge).

I am also able to offer EWI lessons.
