Aiste Dvarionaite was litterally born into the world full of sounds of music as she belongs to one of the most famous dynasties of musicians of Lithuania - that of the Dvarionai dynasty. Both her paternal grandparents had been piano professors at Vilnius Musical Academy, and not only: the grandfather, Balys Dvarionas, was also a known composer and the Vilnius Philharmonic Symphony orchestra conductor. Her father - Jurgis Dvarionas - is a well-known professor of violin at the same Academy as well as a performer possessing a unique command of violin since Jurgis Dvarionas was brought up by Professor Boris Belenky at the Moscow State Conservatory. No wonder, that Aiste has followed in his footsteps.
Aiste has started playing with various Lithuanian and international orchestras and giving recitals since the age of six. She has played for the lovers of music in many countries. While still a student at the National Ciurlionis School of Art and later at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, she was learning mastery under the guidance of many famous violinists: Prof. Zenon Brzewski, Prof. Alexander Fisher, Prof. Marina Jashwili, Prof. Wolfgang Marschner, Prof. Sergey Kravchenko. She has participated in many international projects and has taught at international seminars in Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland and Spain. Aiste's has got an outstanding set of professional qualifications: BA (Music), MA(Music) Violin Soloist, Artist of a Chamber Orchestra, and Violin Teaching.
Not only Aiste helps others to excel their skills of playing violin, she also keeps her knowledge up to date by attending numerous seminars delivered by famous world artists such as Yo-Yo Ma (USA), Prof Mstislav Rostropovich (Russia), Prof Pavel Berman (Italy), Prof Alexandr Fischer (Sweden), Prof David Geringas (Germany), Prof Ben Sayevich (USA), Prof Pierre-Henri Xuereb (France), Prof Hege Waldeland (Sweden), Prof Maxim Fedotov (Russia), Prof Michael Gantvarg (Russia), Prof Sergey Kravchenko (Russia).
Aiste Dvarionaite bewitches her listeners by the warmth and elegance of her playing, as well as by the highest artistic level of phrasing. "Music is the essence of my life", says Aiste. In late 2008, the artist settled down together with her family in London where she continuous her professional career and shares the pleasure of teaching with gifted kids and music students.
She had been teaching violin at the National Ciurlionis School of Art in Vilnius for 14 years, had been awarded a status of Supervising Teacher and, while working as an Assistant at the Department of Pedagogy at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, had passed her mastery to many students who, in their turn, are getting distinctions at various competitions. Aiste is currently self-employed at the Richmond Violin Lessons. In October 2010 Aiste attained qualified teacher status (QTS) certifying that she met the requirements for employment in maintained schools and non-maintained special schools in England and that she is exempt from the requirements to serve a statutory induction period.
