Personal Description:

Adéla is a Czech violinist and enthusiastic teacher based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
She teaches at the Junior Academy of Music at Queen's University, Methodist College Belfast, maintains a busy private studio and frequently performs with the Ulster Orchestra.

As an avid orchestra musician, Adéla has performed with some of the UK leading orchestras such as Philharmonia, the Hallé, Bournemouth and Ulster Orchestras. A former player of Southbank Sinfonia, she has led the orchestra in the Royal Opera House and at the Edinburgh International Festival.

Tutoring Experience:

Dedicated to the art of tuition, Adéla has a wealth of experience, ranging from individual to whole-class settings. She has worked with students in various masterclasses and summer courses, as well as workshops for BBC Proms, Pro Corda, Benedetti Foundation, and National Orchestra for All. Adéla has enjoyed teaching at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and for Tower Hamlet and Brent Music Services in London.

She obtained a Bachelor's degree at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in the Czech Republic. During her Bachelor's studies, she worked with the leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Pieter Schoeman at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and played in masterclasses for renowned violinists such as Tasmin Little, Zsolt-Tihamer Visontay, and Gyorgy Pauk at Wigmore Hall. She holds a Master's and LRAM (teaching diploma) degrees from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Tutoring Approach:

Adéla's energetic, creative and joyful approach to teaching enables students to flourish and become more confident musicians. She strives to tune into students' needs and give them opportunities to grow.

The aim of her work is to instil confidence and boost creativity. She uses a holistic approach to teaching, which encourages students to be perceptive and versatile musicians. She puts a strong emphasis on student's comfort and ease when playing, helping to avoid any tension and discomfort.

Her teaching focuses on providing students with the necessary tools for music-making: increased sense for pulse and rhythm, pitch awareness, quality of sound and freedom of movement. She challenges pupils to think musically and to improve their ability to listen more attentively. Improvisation and other types of carefully designed techniques help to unlock student's potential.

Adéla has successfully prepared pupils for ABRSM and other types of exams & auditions. Lessons are meticulously tailored to the individual needs and goals. She has been working with students of all ages and levels for several years, regardless of their previous experience.

Most recently, Adéla enjoyed being an ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation, taking part in music workshops and guiding students from all over the world.
