Her broad passion for and knowledge of music allowed me to fully understand why we were studying Jazz and Classical standards, but also meant we were able to reference and discuss modern music from all genres to make my learning feel relevant and exciting. Robert was my daughter’s piano tutor for almost 5 years between September 2017 to July 2022 . In this time she did her Music GCSE ( achieving Grade 9) and A level (A grade ). With Robert she passed her Piano exams at Grade 4 , Grade 5 ( included theory ) , Grade 6 ( Merit) and Grade 7 . These achievements were nothing short of impressive as both Robert and his students experienced unprecedented and severe challenges due to Covid restrictions and the lessons were virtually run via Zoom for most of 2020 . The grade 6 exam was also virtual and not in person . I will always be grateful to Robert for his exceptional ability to teach his students the joys of music . He even moved from Surrey to Dorset and continued with his students in Surrey . His dedication, patience , his supreme kindness and his ability to overcome the challenges we have seen due to Covid means I have no hesitation in recommending this talented young man to teach your Sons or daughters Piano or any of the other instruments he knows .
