Information About Vanessa - Beckenham teacher

Personal Description:

I am a freelance oboist based in South East London and a graduate of the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. I am passionate about music and aim to help other people enjoy learning music in a way to suit them and their lifestyles.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching privately and in schools for over seven years and have experience of teaching all ages from primary to adult as well as preparing them for grade exams, A level and GCSE practical assessments and other performance opportunities. I am also able to accompany pupils in repertoire which helps to have a more fuller understanding of the works and their context as well as training listening skills and an awareness of chamber playing.

Tutoring Approach:

I am an enthusiastic and committed teacher, I am quick to understand each students' abilities, challenges and goals and work with them to realise these as far as possible. I am always encouraging and will focus on developing all aspects of playing to help the student reach their full potential. I often work with students towards grade exams as a focus, although some people chose to develop aspects of their playing without this pressure.
