Personal Description:

**I ACCEPT NEW STUDENTS FOR ONLINE & IN-PERSON TEACHING **

I am a cellist based in Surrey Quays. I recently completed my Masters at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, in Performance & Music Education - specialising my research and practice in one-to-one cello tuition as well as teaching children with special educational needs. I am currently working at Trinity Laban as a graduate researcher and improvisation tutor. In 2015 I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in classical and contemporary performance and music education.

I actively perform across London and Europe, in a variety of ensembles and solo. I have performed in events/venues such as: King's Cross 'Tete-a-tete Opera Festival', Cheltenham Music Festival, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Teatro Baltazar Dias.

Roxanna provides tuition for one-to-one cello, music theory, as well as group mixed strings classes.

Tutoring Experience:

I teach a wide range of ages and abilities (from age 5 to adult learners, from absolute beginners to post-grade 8 standard) both privately and as a THAMES tutor for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. In the past I have taught in schools across London, including London Borough of Southwark and London Borough of Redbridge.

I hold multiple fully enhanced CRB/DBS checks.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a cello tutor who enjoys teaching all ages and abilities, always aiming to inspire my students, driving them to improve and truly enjoy playing the cello! My approach is very holistic and I incorporate many aspects of musical learning into my lessons, including improvising, active listening, ensemble playing, playing by ear, learning from memory, as well as whole body awareness inspired by yoga, Alexander Technique and Dalcroze method (which I have training in).

I am open-minded and flexible, always tailoring lessons to each individuals' needs. I offer lessons for:
- TC Grade exams
- ABRSM Grade exams
- ABRSM music theory exams
- GCSE and A-Level music performance exams
- students with special educational needs
- general personal improvement
- playing for personal leisure
- all ages and abilities (from age 5 to adult learners, and beginner to advanced)

I am able to travel to students around Greenwich/Blackheath, or students can travel to my home in Surrey Quays for lessons. (Travelling to students will include a travel fee).

I also offer online lessons via video call/skype.
