Personal Description:

I provide beginner and intermediate guitar lessons for children and adults. I run both one to one sessions and group sessions (maximum of three in a group). Sessions last 30 minutes as standard or 1 hour if preferred.

I have been playing guitar for over 18 years and have over 10 years experience playing in live bands.

I can teach Electric Guitar or Acoustic Guitar in a variety of styles.

Prices are:
£10 for 30 mins - one to one session
£5 for 30 mins - group session

Tutoring Approach:

I use a structured approach to guitar tuition starting with basic chord shapes and moving on to strumming patterns and more advanced chords. At each stage of progress I will show you how the skills you have learned are used in songs and provide you with examples of songs you can play along to.

The course is focused more on playing the guitar rather than music theory however I will teach you how to read and write guitar tablature - the most common method of transcribing guitar music.

Overall I like to promote a relaxed and fun environment where you are able to feel comfortable to learn at your own pace.
