Personal Description:

Rhian is a friendly, experienced teacher. After teaching drums full-time in schools for three years, she moved to Bristol where she has worked as a touring a recording artist with such acts as The Zen Hussies, BOMBS, The Guns, Schoolboy’s Death Trio, Little Thief and Bam Jungle Brothers.

Tutoring Experience:

Rhian was a full time music teacher in primary and comprehensive schools for three years. Her teaching experience includes tutoring from beginner to grade 8, advanced techniques, music as rehabilitation, teaching large groups of students with English as a foreign language using only communication through music, and has tutored struggling teenagers with music and drums. She has worked as a peripatetic teacher in primary school, comprehensive school, and community projects. She has taught advanced drum kit, beginner percussion, samba, steel pan, taiko and african styles.

Rhian has a very friendly an relaxed attitude towards music tuition - as long as the student is learning and having fun, then they are accomplishing something together. She has a 100% pass rate on her students' exams.
