Personal Description:

Hello! Great to see you here!
I’m Pietro, 33 years of age.I am a Singing Teacher/Vocal Coach and singer-songwriter based in West London, but I also teach via Skype.

Born and bred in Italy, I moved to the UK at the age of 20. In London, I have the incredible opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and nations, which is something I love!

As a singer, I played in a Christian Band for about 10 years, with which we toured and played regularly in the UK, Italy, and France. We recorded and published two albums.
I am currently working on my first album as a singer-songwriter. Worship is a big part of my life and I can't wait to share this album with you.

In 2014/2015 I worked as backing vocalist with the Italian Singer-Songwriter Sefora as a backing vocalist on her album.
In 2012 Boston based DJ Roger featured me on his track "The One I Want" as a solo vocalist in what I call a mixture of Rock Vocals and Dance and Electronic Music under the Pethouse Recording Label.

Also, I had the honour to collaborate with different artists live and on some other recording projects: Luciano Manfrinato, Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse), Cheryl Porter (Mariah Carey, Bocelli, Duke Hellington), Hez Thuo – arranger and producer (Sony, MTV), Fabio D’Andrea (Cannes Film Festival, Sir Willard White, Katherine Jenkins) and DJ Roger M. (Phethouse Record Label).

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated in Popular Music Practice Performance and Vocals from BIMM in 2010.
I am an accredited IVTOM teacher ( International Voice Teachers Of Mix). IVTOM isn't just a method: we teach our students good singing. What is good singing?
It's learning to use your voice in a natural, balanced and free manner from the bottom to the top of your range without any constriction or break in the middle of the voice.
Whenever your voice gets tired too quickly or changes unexpectedly in quality, this is a sign something isn't working properly and we need to get the voice into a balanced condition through exercises that are chosen and tailored for the single needs of the individual. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another, this is why I will accurately "diagnose" your voice through some vocal exercises when you come in for your first lesson: this tell us where you are, what type of work I need to do with you in the short term and in the long term.

I have worked as a private voice teacher since 2011 teaching one-to-one, group lessons and running voice workshops.
I worked for ACEG Music until April 2017, teaching children music during school hours with a creative and engaging approach.
I also had the privilege to lead and teach Downe Manor Primary School Choir last year.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is really simple and fun. By connecting with our body, we learn to feel what is good singing, through practise.
What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another, this is why I will accurately "diagnose" your voice through some vocal exercises when you come in for your first lesson: this tell us where you are, what type of work I need to do with you in the short term and in the long term.

As a vocal coach, I firmly believe technique must be a mean for the singer to be able to use their voice in a free manner and without any constrictions. Also, by learning the technique you will be able to focus on the importance of emotional release and freedom during a performance. As I was immensely inspired by "Mix singing", I’d definitely love to inspire you as well!
