Personal Description:
I am a recent graduate of the University of York with a First Class degree in Music. I am about to begin postgraduate study in Composition at the Royal College of Music. I am very friendly and outgoing, and love to help others get the best out of themselves. I also have Grade 8 in Piano (2015) and Trumpet (2016). Please note that though my current location is in Buckinghamshire, I will be relocating to London in Autumn 2021.
Tutoring Experience:
I have tutored beginner Music Theory before. I am hoping to develop my tuition skills through gaining experience.
Tutoring Approach:
While focusing on achieving the goals set out in exam syllabuses, I am also keen to develop a strong relationship with a student whereby they feel independently motivated and inspired to learn. I aim to do this by finding a "way in" to the material which speaks to their own interests and strengths.
