Personal Description:
Passionate about making learning the guitar as much fun for you as teaching it is for me.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been teaching since 1999, that's over 34,000 hours of teaching experience, with hundreds of students of all abilities.
I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Music and Creative Writitng, and a Certified Practioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, and a Certified Life Coach.
I use NLP and Coaching techniques to liberate you from any ideas of limitation thet you might have had - because where the mind goes, the body follows.
We'll also look at why physiology and biomechanics are the real secret to playing easily and not fight with your guitar.
You'll enjoy learning by playing songs you love, finding out how music works, and why the guiitar is - in reality - the simplest instrument to learn on the planet.
From novice to degree-level, I'll be with you all the way - because anything else is just less.
"Play 'til your fingers bleed!" is a nice cliche, but isn't it a stupid thing to actually do?
Tutoring Approach:
No pretension, no nonsense, no mysterious mumbo-jumbo or hero-worship: I teach you what works.
I base everything I do on reality, challenge conventional wisdom, and apply rational thought to teaching and understanding how to take you forward.
I make it fun to learn to play, using my own practical, Real-World approach to the instrument.
