Personal Description:

I am a bass guitarist with 17 years of playing experience and a B.a degree from the university of Salford in popular music and recording, with a specialisation in arranging.

Tutoring Experience:

From young children to adults, privately and in schools.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a professional but relaxed approach with a keen eye of detail and a thorough understanding of the learning process.
I have patience but also push my students to get the best out of them.

I like to introduce students to a wide array of listening material as I feel it is important to find something that really inspires you to want to learn, I feel exposure to many different styles of music helps musicians to grow far more rapidly than if they were to stay focused in on any one genre or playing style.

I can teach advanced techniques whilst making sure to drive home the fundamentals of music theory as I progress through the lessons as it is important that my students understand what it is they are doing on their instruments and can apply that understanding to different instruments including the piano.
