Personal Description:

I'm Kitty (a.k.a. Andrea ), a Glastonbury based singer-songwriter, ukulele musician and teacher. I have performed at over 60 different venues and festivals across England and I love what I do. I am driven by my passion for making music and its therapeutic benefits - it has brought so much joy to my life. I am dedicated to sharing my skills and knowledge with people wishing to explore their musical creativity. I use a diverse range of teaching methods in my teaching style which makes lessons and courses fun, innovative and progressive.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm a self-taught ukulele strummer and have been teaching for the past 5 years (many years of teaching other subjects) through my business, Musical Embers. I have taught over 100 ukulele students with huge success, many through my beginners courses online and I have dozens of positive reviews. I teach whole class ukulele lessons at a primary school in Bristol and I also teach 1-to-1, open to all ages, with a wealth of experience in teaching children from age 4 upwards.
Aside from the ukulele I also teach singing and songwriting, so if your goal is to become a singer-songwriter, ukulelist then look no further!

Tutoring Approach:

I teach mostly through feeling, not theory so don't let the theory put you off learning an instrument! This is what I love most - it keeps lessons simple and easy to follow.
Lessons are always fun, treated with kindness and patience and plenty of encouragement.
