Personal Description:
Joel is a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. Joel grew up in Hampshire and has been performing music for over a decade. As part of the UK study abroad programme, Joel spent one year studying at the Frost School of Music in the US. Joel is a committed musician and educator, and is currently living in London, freelancing and developing his own artistic projects.
Tutoring Experience:
Joel has taught multiple students at varying ages and stages on their musical journey. Has experience in group settings, and online teaching. Joel has helped a number of his students prepare for school music projects and external grade axams (such as ABRSM). Joel is currently studying on the LRAM teaching qualification that is unique to the Royal Academy of Music.
Tutoring Approach:
Joel: "I believe that learning how to play music is an incredible and exciting thing. My approach engages students with their own playing from both a technical and musical perspective. Enjoying music is extremely important and I will tailor lessons to suit the individual pupil, challenging them with realistic goals. I aim to show my pupils ways to find inspiration and confidence."
