Information About Hyuk - Sheffield teacher

Personal Description:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree from the Royal Academy of Music in 2015 and was under the tutelage of Professor Rustem Hayroudinoff and a Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2017 where I was taught by professor Petras Geniusas.

My experiences include winning first prize in the Young Musician of the Gulf 2010, where I was given the Best Pianist Award and the Most Promising Bahrain-Based Musician Award while I was studying in Bahrain. In the same year, I won 3rd prize in the 1st International Chopin Competition in Kuwait. I also participated in the 2nd Aegeon Art International Festival in Greece and the Crescendo Summer Institute Winners Concert in Hungary in 2015.

My latest achievement includes winning first prize in the New Piano Stars Competition 2015 in Glasgow.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught extensively during my studies in Glasgow, from beginners to higher standard pupils preparing for ABRSM exams. Even for conservatoire students, I was frequently giving them consultations.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach is to suggest various methods of achieving improvement on students musicianship and performance skills, whether it is for personal enjoyment of making music or in preparation for a performance and examinations.

I believe it is vital to provide the students with ways to improve both instrumental technique and critical thinking when it comes to teaching. Each student should be given tailored advises depending on their level and personality and to develop it as we go on.
