Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic 30 years old living between London and Colchester and originally from Italy.
In Italy I had the chance to study piano and music at the Conservatoire since the age of 5, before deciding to move to the UK in 2014 to train in Musical Theatre.
I love sharing my passion for music and theatre with others.

Tutoring Experience:

After graduating from the RWCMD I started working as a performer and a private teacher. I have been teaching for 3 consecutive years now.
During the pandemic I moved all of my work online and I currently teach languages, music and singing to children and adults.

I am really looking forward to working with you!!

Tutoring Approach:

I always ask the student what he/she would like to gain from tutoring before the start of the sessions.
Children need the lessons to be fun and playful and I always tend to tutor them for no more than 45 minutes.
Students who are preparing for exams would need a much more focused environment but still fun.
I always leave the options quite open for anyone who is just looking for a hobby, depending on their needs and passions.

During our singing classes we can explore both the technique and the performance. If the student is interested in learning piano skills whilst singing, we can learn about how to read music and how to accompany ourselves with chords.

From Simon (5/5): Giulia is an awesome and experienced piano teacher. She is very knowledgeable, informative and supportive, especially when dealing with scheduling conflicts with my daughter's lessons.

My daugher had a wonderful time learning piano with her at our home and her confidence has improved, following a learning gap due to her previous piano teacher's retirement a while back.

I would highly recommend Giulia.

From Jim (5/5): I engaged with Giulia to do some tutoring with my son and found her to be very helpful and very efficient and a great choice. It appeared we lived close by but unfortunately the way the FirstTutors system works means that only when you pay the finder's fee do you release the details for eachother which allows you both to see exactly where you are. At this point it became clear that travel distances were actually longer then anticipated and that Giulia could not get to our lesson and back to another she had scheduled in good enough time. So my experience with Giulia was great but my experience with FirstTutors meant that having paid a £19.99 finder's fee, a matter of minutes later when all the relevant information was released and Giulia and I spoke on the phone, it transpired logistics made the tutoring impossible for both parties and I had wasted my money which I'm now looking to get re-imbursed.
