Personal Description:

I have been extremely lucky to have some amazing and inspiring teachers throughout my studies and I would like to repay the favour and hopefully inspire some of my own pupils. I have spent the last 5 years studying at Leeds College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance playing Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching a variety ages from as young as 8 to as old as 60. I love teaching and find it interesting how different age groups learn in different ways. As well as having experiencing teaching on a 1-2-1 basis I also have helped with full class teaching in music lessons and group instrument lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

In my lessons I feel it's important to understand what the pupil wants out of their music lessons and what music they like as well as standard repertoire. I try to make lessons fun and interesting by working out how the pupil best learns. If exams are what the pupil wants to work towards I try to make this an enjoyable experience to relax them for when it comes to them taking the exam. However, if exams are not the goal we can make other personal goals such as learning their favourite piece of music or even recording something for them to show others.
