Personal Description:

Hello!

I'm Elian, a professional Actor and Musician from South Wales. I graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and studied a degree in Actor Musicianship. I play the piano, alto and tenor saxophone and a bit of accordion too! I love a huge range of music - musical theatre being my favourite! I also own a car with a full, clean license. and am fully DBS checked as well as having a chaperone license.

Tutoring Experience:

Piano - I have taught a range of students of all ages and abilities over a weekly basis for the last 5 years, both online and in person. With these students, I have been looking at theory, exams, and also playing just for fun! I absolutely love teaching piano. It was the first instrument I ever learnt and think it is one of the most useful tools you will ever have.

Singing - I have taught from ages 3+ in group situations learning songs and also from ages 8+ for private singing. I have taught on a weekly basis for the last 5 years and thoroughly enjoy watching students grow in confidence with their own voice.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel that music is such a valuable skill to learn, and really love it when pupils are keen to learn it. To keep that energy there, my approach is incredibly light, stress-free but hard working and driven. I like to set achievable and manageable goals whilst keeping in line with students other commitments as from experience, the minute it becomes too much is the moment that it's given up. Keeping it manageable, fun yet forward is key.
