Personal Description:
I started my music education at Mersin State Conservatory Opera Singing Department in 1994, I was trained and deeply impressed by the composer and pianist Aydin Azimov. After two years, I was then accepted to Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts Theory and Composition Department with a full scholarship. During these years, I was educated in the Russian Ecole by professors from the Soviet Union. For the last three years of my BA, I had the opportunity to be trained in the French Ecole by Prof. Andre Sommer from Conservatoire Nationale Supérieur de Paris.
Tutoring Experience:
My professional teaching career started when I was still a student at Bilkent University as an assistant teacher of my professors. Thanks to the instruction of my professors, teaching has become a passion for me. After my graduation, I have worked in a couple of the best institutions and music schools as an instructor and trained many young musicians. To this day I still work as a piano and music theory and harmony teacher, I am an expert Sibelius Software user, transcriber and arranger with more than 20 years of experience.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach all aspects and all levels of Music (including GCSE, A-Level), but also offer tutoring in ABRSM, LCM and TRINITY certification programs. Alongside classical western music, I also teach other types of music such as jazz, pop or folk music.
