Personal Description:

A professional musician & teacher for over 25 years, I've worked as a pianist and keyboard player in most genres of music, and in a diverse range of contexts; performance venues include Manchester Palace Theatre, Theatre du Cha**Contact Detail Removed**t (Paris), Redditch Palace Theatre, Covent Garden - Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon College, Centro Cultural - Oviedo, N.Spain, College of Europe (Warsaw), KinoFabriek in Berlin, Zaal100 in Amsterdam… and beyond.

As well as teaching and solo / band work, I am also an experienced accompanist playing regularly for exams, concerts, revues, classes, rehearsals and as a soloist for functions. I also have considerable experience as a musical director, running my own ensembles and choirs and having directed more shows than I can remember!

Tutoring Experience:

18 years as Music Programme Leader in Further and High Education contexts; teaching music history, performance, improvisation, composition, music theory, aural perception skills, contextual studies, keyboard skills etc.
Freelance piano tuition since 1994; full time since 2015. I teach piano and keyboard privately and for the Elgar School of Music in Worcester.
My students range from 12-year-olds to 80-year-olds, and from beginners to students taking Performance Diplomas. Some are doing Grade exams, some are playing purely for pleasure.
