Personal Description:

Experienced, friendly piano/vocal tutor based in Manchester. Several years full-time experience teaching pupils aged 5-80 in genres ranging from Classical and Pop to Blues, Rock and Jazz. Some students come for casual lessons, learning their favourite songs and how to read and perform music. Others come to study work towards exams and to develop their technique and skills; whatever your interests, I am confident that I can make our lessons fun and engaging!

Outside of my work as a tutor, I enjoy composing and arranging music for collaborative mediums, such as film and theatre.

Tutoring Experience:

Several years full-time experience teaching 100s of pupils on a 1 to 1 basis, at all levels ranging from casual beginners to Grade 8.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a practical approach to music tuition, and my first lesson with a student always ends with them performing a simple song they enjoy. Over the course of lessons, I like to help my students build up a range of musical skills - including instrument technique, reading and aural skills - and to use these skills to help my students developed into capable performers.
