Personal Description:
I am a professional musician and teacher based in Southampton.
I played in many different bands from pop, rock, fusion to metal (played in typical 4 members squads as well as acoustic duets and symphony orchestras).
I provide expert tuition for guitar and can show how to play music in various styles and combine technique with theoretical principles to help with improvising and composition.
Iām keen to give potential students the benefit of my experience of the music industry at large to supplement their technical development in their chosen field. I can provide in-depth music theory as the background for the lessons or keep it unspoken and focus on other aspects of this enjoyable craft.
Tutoring Experience:
Wide teaching experience from beginners to advanced levels students: guitar techniques, music theory, reading/writing music, improvisation, tabs, playing by ear. I am ready to tailor the lesson for specific needs.
Tutoring Approach:
I have 18 years of playing experience (both piano and guitar), but performing live is something else than teaching how to master an instrument.
This is what I find the most rewarding part of being a musician/teacher:
I have been teaching for 10 years now and my main objective is always to make the lessons interesting. My students were aged from 7 to 60+ and I know how to explain the guitar topics clearly. I believe all of my students found the lessons enjoyable and professional at the same time. The crucial part is the way the information flows from the teacher to the student.
