Information About Annabel - Glasgow teacher

Personal Description:

Hello!

I am a young professional violin teacher and performer. I began playing the violin aged 7 and very quickly fell in love with the instrument. I graduated with Honors of the First Class from the RCS in 2020, and additionally was awarded the Mary D Adams Prize. In 2021 I graduated from an MA in Chamber Music.

Chamber music is very important to me and I perform and teach regularly with my quartet- the Resol String Quartet. Recent highlights include a performances in Perth Concert Hall, the Usher Hall, London’s Conway Hall and BBC Radio Scotland.
In 2021 we were awarded the First prize and Audience Prize in the CAVATINA Competition at Wigmore Hall.

Tutoring Experience:

DipABRSM in Teaching, awarded in 2019.

I have been teaching private one-to-one lessons for 5 years, with pupils from the ages of 5 upwards.
Prior to this I have been coaching and taking sectionals in an orchestra from the age of 15 which gave me a great background of knowledge about working with all ages and abilities.

I teach regularly with my quartet in schools across the UK, such as Brighton College, Great Walstead School, Ardingly College, Oban High School and Williamwood school.

I view music as something that should be made accessible and enjoyable to everyone and this is something I strive to carry through into my teaching at all times. I offer engaging and flexible tuition. We will work together to achieve whatever your goals may be!
