Personal Description:
My name is Agata and I have been teaching professionally for over 5 years whilst playing piano for over 16 years myself. I graduated from a leading conservatoire, Leeds College of Music and now teach music theory/ piano privately on one to one basis. Drop me a message if you have any questions!
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching professionally for over 5 years. Whether that's as a support teacher, giving private singing, music theory and piano tuition or coaching pupils through exams and competitions.
I also have some personal music experiences and accomplishments including: collaborating on a project for a Grammy Award winning songwriter, collaborating with schools in Germany and Denmark, writing for solo projects, being involved in studio work for various labels including EMI, having function band experience, being a part of Leeds College of Music Contemporary Rock and Pop Choir and being a session singer for studios around UK.
Tutoring Approach:
Piano lessons : I teach my students the importance of the right technique and posture. You will learn to sight read as well as play by the ear. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere you will learn the ins and outs of music theory such as: notation, key signatures, rhythm, dynamics, melody and articulation. I will make sure to find suitable exercises to strengthen your playing and to prepare you for more challenging pieces ahead. However my most important mission whilst teaching piano is something that most teachers overlook and that is to encourage passion right from the beginning in a no-pressure environment. I follow the current exam boards such as ABRSM and Trinity College London.
