Personal Description:

I am a well-rounded and approachable musician suitable for students new to the Trumpet. As someone who has spent their life playing the Trumpet, having been a part of various music organisations (Bromley Youth Music Trust, Centre for Young Musicians), achieved a Grade 6 Distinction and have formed and performed in my own musical projects, I am highly equipped to spark inspiration in the next generation of Trumpet players.

What sets me apart from other teachers is my ability to relate and be sympathetic to each students' individual interests, and discover what drives them. Having a life outside of the professional world of instrumental performance, I understand, through first-hand experience, the pressures of juggling academic demands outside of the music room with your passions as a budding musician.

Tutoring Experience:

As well as having taught a number of private students, I teach as a Trumpet tutor at a secondary school in London, St. Michael's Catholic College. I am Enhanced DBS-checked and capable of working with students of mixed ability.

Tutoring Approach:

In the early stages of learning any instrument, inspiration and owning the fundamentals of playing are vital. Through my significant experience playing in classical orchestras, jazz ensembles and big bands, indie and pop groups and electronic production, I believe that I have what it takes to ignite a spark in new students to discover what will motivate them in their musical journey.

Through my friendly and approachable lesson plans, consisting of both informal discussion about music in general, tailored to each students' own interests, in addition to a stripped-back approach to making the fundamentals to playing the Trumpet become early habits, I will set students on the right path for later development later on.
