Information About Theodoros - Edmonton teacher

Personal Description:

For the last six years, I was appointed by the Ministry of Education in Greece, as a teacher in several Greek schools in London and I was teaching the Greek language to adults and students aged 6 to 14 (from basics to GCSE). In addition my 3 years work experience in Greece as a teacher helped me to appreciate the importance of being a good communicator in order to be a good classroom manager. As a past member of Greek Educational Mission, I had the opportunity to participate in many seminars for the in-service teachers and realise that through team work you can share ideas on how to curry out or improve on specific tasks.

Teaching Experience:

1)Sept 1999-2002 Primary School Teacher, appointed by the Greek government, working in primary schools in the areas of Sparta, Crete and Piraeus (Greece).
2)Sept 2002-July 2008 Heritage Language Instructor Teaching Modern Greek Language. Primary school Instructor (full –time) send by the Greek government to serve the Greek-Cypriot community in London.
3)Sept 2002-July 2008 Private tutor

Teaching Approach:

As a teacher of evening schools and priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons, I found it very challenging to keep the students interested in the work. This experience taught me the importance of establishing good relationships with the students in order to gain their respect and keep them interested.
