Information About Zahra - Canterbury teacher - (3 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Zahra:
I am an associate lecturer in French at the University of Kent (Canterbury) and recently completed a doctoral thesis on the relationship between French New Wave cinema and nineteenth-century French literature. I have a multi-cultural background; I was born in Honduras, grew up in France and obtained a PhD in England.
I have led French-speaking seminars at an undergraduate level over the past 4 years.
My experience as an associate lecturer at the Modern Languages department of UKC has enriched me with the ability to supervise and evaluate different stages of learning at an academic level, as well as to plan and adapt engaging strategies to successfully achieve various set of objectives.
My studies and life experience have forged the conviction that a language is better learned with cultural insights on the country's history, traditions and ways of thinking. I am thus committed to share my scholarly expertise and cultural knowledge of France through interactive-based learning methods.

When I initially contacted you through First Tutors your response time was highly commendable. You then further sent me replies to my questions very quickly. I have told my family what a competent tutor you are and that I really enjoyed my first tutorial with you.
Many thanks and I look forward to seeing you again
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I could not have expected a better learner. You have shown genuine interest and real enjoyment in speaking and understanding the language as well as when correcting and improving your French skills. Needless to say, I left our first class with a great feeling of contentment and enthusiasm for what's to come. I look forward to renew the experience next week!
All very best,
