Bonjour, je m’appelle Stéphanie et je vis dans le joli village de Hazlemere, Bucks.

I have lived and worked in the UK for the past 20 years and really enjoy my life here.

I am a DBS checked native French speaker and a part-time teacher at a French language school in Amersham. Additionally I tutor Reception/KS1 children in small classes in Great Missenden. My early background is in French Literature and Philosophy, and I am also a qualified therapist specialised in CBT, trauma desensitisation reprocessing and VR therapy in Great Missenden and in Harley Street, London. I enjoy tutoring students from all walks of life and it is my pleasure to share my passion for my mother tongue with them.

Teaching Experience:

Learning a foreign language like French is in my view rewarding and has the advantage of opening many doors to those who wish to embark on such a fantastic journey. Research has also shown that it has multiple positive effects on the development of the young brain and can even improve memory in adult/senior learners!

Teaching Approach:

I offer private French tuition to pre-schoolers and young children, as well as adults/seniors, whatever their level in French is. Pre-schoolers and young children lessons are organised in group sessions in order to allow everyone to learn important French words through songs and stories. Older children can be offered individual tuition based upon their level of French and the specific areas they wish to improve on.

I also assist AQA and EDexcel GCSE with their exams revision. My background in Philosophy and Literature means that I can help students develop their critical thinking and provide guidance in all French subject matters. The tuition comes in the form of one-to-one sessions (in my Great Missenden office or at the student`s home) as well as group sessions. Group sessions are held in Great Missenden, with a maximum of 6 students per session.

I am a dedicated, passionate French tutor and I look forward to hearing from my future students soon.

Stephanie has an excellent grasp of A Level French and has managed to create an excellent working relationship with our students and also other colleagues in the short time she has been working with us.

From Kaye (5/5): Stéphanie is a fantastic French tutor. She’s very good at communiating and advised me on how to support my son. My son really liked her and found her very helpful. Her priority was teaching my son varied vocabulary which was what we needed and he has faced his exams more confidently than before. I was a little nervous taking my son to a tutor but her building is very professional, with a relaxed classroom within her workplace.
