Information About Sofia - Chelmsford teacher

Personal Description:

Hello!

My name is Sofia and I'm a bilingual English/Spanish tutor with a passion for learning about languages and cultures. I lived in Madrid until high school and grew up speaking both English and Spanish at home. I have also been learning French since my early teens. I have taken part in several language exchange programmes with French families and during my undergraduate studies, I spent a year living in Grenoble, France. Last year, I passed my B2 level French qualification.

Teaching Experience:

I have taken part in a university Language Exchange Program where I helped foreign exchange students with their studies. I also regularly help my younger cousins with their Spanish schoolwork.

Teaching Approach:

The first step for me would be to understand what you want to get out of my lessons. With languages, confidence is usually what stops students from achieving their potential. I aim to build student's confidence by combining grammar and learning about culture in a fun and interactive way.

I want to help students pass their exams, but also teach them to love learning languages and how useful they can be in the future.
