I studied French Studies BA at the University of Bristol as well as a TEFL qualification. I love the French language having spent years living in France from Paris to the south of France. My French grandmother came over to England during the war and her influence has played a huge part in my love and interest in France and all aspects of French culture. I have travelled extensively throughout France and other French speaking countries such as Madagascar, La Reunion and Morocco. I really enjoy sharing my experiences with others in an informal and friendly way.
I studied French Studies BA at the University of Bristol where I focused on French language and literature, French history, French politics, French history of art and French philosophy.
I have completed TEFL courses and have taught 1st year university students basic lessons on English grammar.
I have taught French grammar and conversation to 1st year university students in London.
I currently teach conversational French and French grammar privately.
I feel that learning a language needs to feel natural and unforced using a variety of methods. Grammar as a foundation is fundamental but needs to be accompanied by fun and immersive ways of learning. I would work with each student's individual needs to ensure that the process of learning a language and a culture is enjoyable as well as improving ability and confidence in their language skills.
