This is how 2 referees rated Sanaze:
I am an experienced native French Tutor who has been teaching for more than ten years in Paris, London and Aberdeen.
I graduated in Psychology in London in 2014 and taught students French from various ages and backgrounds. Previously, I was born and lived in Paris for the first 25 years where I started teaching French at the French Red Cross.
Through studying Psychology, I developed interest in the unique approach that would suit best every student.
In Paris, I started as a volunteer within the French Red Cross and organised French classes for women experiencing severe linguistic disadvantages. In parallel, I was in charge of teaching privately a minor with learning and concentration disabilities.
I became a French Tutor since living in London in 2011. Students for French were from 4 to 65 levelling from beginner to upper-intermediate. My emphasis has been to organise classes according to students' needs. For conversational and business lessons, I have looked for the use of alternative resources such as interactive exercises, podcasts, bilingual books and journals; all beside a regular work on a method book.
At an academic level, I have been helping French students with writing, working thoroughly on essay and other writing skills (developing opinions, descriptions of past and current activities, plans and intentions). Besides, I have focused on adjusting the balance between passive and active skills according to each student and working also on pronunciation. In other situations, we have also often gone through intensive preparation for school French examinations (GCSE, A-Level, Common Entrance examination).
In light of my eclectic experience, I have realised how much I enjoy being a Tutor. Successful learning has come through building motivation and confidence in my students. The learner will also have to be responsible for their learning. As a result, I will be able to create the appropriate strategies for students to acquire knowledge. I will be able to fulfil this by understanding deeply my students' specific gaps and building effective helping relationship.
From the beginning, I have realised how essential it is to establish goals, to stay positive and resilient with students. I have learnt to remain patient, focused on aims, as well as interested in all my students as unique persons and finding out the suitable learning pace for each of them. I have enjoyed conveying knowledge, stimulating and helping them to improve specific skills.
Overall, my students had a positive experience of learning, and this achievement has been very rewarding to me.

Our one hour lesson flies past but we learn so much in that time.
I feel that our daughter benefits from the fact that Sanaze tailor-makes each lesson to suit her needs.
It has helped her grow in confidence.
